Updated 10 August 2026 · ticket availability and procedures can change — always confirm on the official LA28 ticket portal.
Drop 2 runs August 10–20, 2026
Only fans selected in the draw can shop during their assigned time slot. Each slot remains open for 48 hours. Refreshed Standard and Accessible ticket inventory is available across Olympic sports while supplies last.
Open the official ticket portal →If you received a Drop 2 time slot, use the access link in LA28's email and purchase during your assigned 48-hour window. Registration closed on 22 July 2026, so people without a time slot cannot enter this drop. More general-public ticket opportunities are expected in 2027.
Los Angeles 2028 uses a draw-based ticketing system powered by official providers AXS and Eventim. Fans register during an announced window and selected participants receive a purchase time slot. A time slot provides access to available inventory; it does not guarantee a particular sport, session, price or seat.
Drop 2 buying checklist
- Use the official email link. LA28 says selected fans receive access information by email before their time slot.
- Confirm the start time and time zone. Your 48-hour window begins at the time shown in your notification.
- Choose priority and backup sessions. Inventory and prices can change as other selected fans purchase.
- Know your remaining limit. Ticket limits are cumulative across LA28 presales and drops.
- Buy only through official channels. LA28's verified resale network is not scheduled to launch until 2027.
How the four-step system works
- Register a free profile at tickets.la28.org during an open registration window. No payment is needed to register.
- Draw — registration enters you into a random draw for that drop.
- Time slot — if selected, you are emailed a specific date and time to access the platform.
- Buy — during your slot you purchase available sessions, up to the ticket limits, subject to availability.
Registration for Drop 2 is now closed. Fans who previously registered remain eligible for future draws until they reach their ticket maximum, subject to LA28's terms. Football (soccer) has a separate ticket allowance.

Prices, limits and rules
- Single tickets start at $28 and rise into the thousands for premium sessions and finals.
- You can buy up to 12 Olympic session tickets plus up to 12 football tickets, and a maximum of 4 tickets per Ceremony.
- Purchasers must be 18 or older. Every attendee needs their own ticket — including children of every age.
- Ticket limits are cumulative across LA28 Olympic presales and ticket drops.
- Hospitality packages (with premium seating and extras) are sold separately through On Location.
Important for international fans: a ticket does not grant a U.S. visa. Check your entry requirements with the U.S. State Department early, because visa appointment waits can be long.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Trying to enter without a time slot. Drop 2 access is limited to fans selected in the draw.
- Registering multiple times. One profile is enough and duplicates can cause verification problems.
- Assuming a time slot means guaranteed seats. Popular sessions sell out within slots; have backup sessions in mind.
- Buying from unofficial resellers. Until the verified resale programme launches, unofficial tickets risk being invalid.
- Booking flights before you hold tickets. Secure tickets first, then lock in travel.
